Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS), in collaboration with the AutRC, finalized the construction of SIWA WASH project in Benishangul-Gumuz which was inaugurated on May 30, 2021 with Getachew Ta’a, ERCS Secretary General present for the ceremony.
|
A particular highlight of the SIWA project was the commitment of the community who have contributed approx. 10,000 EUR through excavation and labour support of 4.4km distribution line.

We highly recommend you to take a look a the new IFRC PGI in WASH Guidance Note. As some of you may know, the guidance note is the fruit of a long and close collaboration and joint effort between the WASH and PGI teams. Now the hard work will start: planning and implementing the roll-out strategy for the guidance note - and of course the actions it describes. For starters, watch a short video about communication hiccups between PGI and WASH practitioners.
