AutRC delegation office in Ethiopia visited ERCS South Omo branch Skybird micro project "Solar Power Potable Water Solution for Kaysa Town". The branch worked with other stakeholders to implement the project, one of which was the South Omo Zonal Water, Mine & Energy office. In this video, an expert from the governement office who provided technical support tells about the solar powered water supply system.

A new report from the USAID REAL-Water programme, Financial Innovations for Rural Water Supply in Low-Resource Settings, is now available online. You can access it from RWSN Library at this link. The report provides an overview of several financing mechanisms related to water service that are innovative and promising in rural areas such as small villages and dispersed settlements. These mechanisms include: Village Savings for Water, Digital Financial Services, Water Quality Assurance Funds, Performance-Based Funding, Development Impact Bonds, Standardized Life-Cycle Costing and Blending Public/Private Finance.

Dina Sautter has started to work at Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) as an Institutional Funding Advisor in the Operations and International Cooperation (OIC) Resources and Support Department as of April 2023!
|
Dina has extensive experience with funding applications to institutional donors as she worked for the Austrian Development Agency as Programme Manager (in the department of Civil Society International and Humanitarian Aid and before for Ethiopia and the Region Africa) during the last years. Dina has a Master of Advanced International Studies (Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, University of Vienna) and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Cultural Sciences (Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt).
