Project Title: Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and Adolescence Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) education to girls and boys in school and out of school
Summary: Young girls aged 10 to 20 years who are in school and out of school face extreme difficulties in accessing safe menstrual hygiene and adolescent sexual and reproductive health education and supplies in the target area. A study showed that 48 % of girls miss classes during menstruation. If they are in school, they report to feel unclean, and their focus lies on this perceived unclean state. The project aims at enhancing knowledge around Menstrual Hygiene Management; improving MHM facilities at schools; establishing school WASH clubs; and establishing groups who will receive entrepreneurship trainings and who will be taught to make reusable sanitary pads which will than be provided to the girls and schools.
